The Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls finished up their first season with a win against Derby City Rollergirls! The final score was 106-41. Derby City were super gracious hosts, and played a great game! Check out a recap and some photos from Earl World! Thanks for the support Earl and Dianne!

We are officially in our off-season now. These next few months will find us training hard and preparing for 2009!

Thanks to all the volunteers and fans that have made our first season so spectacular! These next few months will find BBRG training hard and preparing for our 2nd Season. Stay tuned for more information!

BBRG has one more bout this year – a travel bout against Louisville’s Derby City Rollergirls. Check it out on October 4th at The Kentucky Fairgrounds!

And what a fantastic first season it has been! At a current standing of 3-3, The Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls have fought long and hard to bring Flat Track Roller Derby excitement to Northern Kentucky!

Away Bout This Saturday!

This Saturday, May 17th, BBRG will take on Cincinnati’s Silent Lambs at The Cincinnati Gardens.

From Cincinnatirollergirls.com:

The Cincinnati Rollergirls will next skate at the Cincinnati Gardens on Saturday May 17 at 7:00 p.m. against the 9th ranked Philly Roller Girls. The bout is a doubleheader, with the Black Sheep dueling with Philly’s Liberty Belles and the Cincinnati Rollergirls ‘B’ team, the Silent Lambs, skating against the Black-n-Bluegrass Girls from Northern Kentucky.

Special pricing is available for children ages 12 and under; $5 in advance and $7.50 the day of the show and all kids 6 and under get in free. Tickets for adults are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show. All tickets are available at the Cincinnati Gardens Box Office, at all Ticketmaster Outlets including select Kroger stores, charge by phone at 513-562-4949 or online at ticketmaster.com. Parking is free at Cincinnati Gardens for all 2008 Cincinnati Rollergirls events.

Moonshiners start the season with a victory

The Black-n-Bluegrass Moonshiners were victorious in their Season Opener against Demolition City’s Dynamite Dolls! The final score was 113-76.

We’d like to thank Demolition City for making the trip to Florence, and playing one hell of a game! It was a pleasure to host you and we hope to see you on the track again soon!

Thanks also go out to all the neighboring leagues and volunteers who helped make this a huge success! We couldn’t have done it without your help! Special thanks to Collier Mama and Sadistic Sadie of The Cincinnati Rollergirls, for being our awesome announcers.
